Artisan Sweet and Sour Borettane Onions

Pickled Borettana onions are one of the most appreciated preserves in Italian culinary tradition. In this collection, you'll find our artisanal version, prepared in the workshop of Bottega del Fungo, between Borgotaro and Alta Valtaro, in the province of Parma.

We use selected Borettana onions, processed carefully to maintain their consistency and delicacy. The recipe follows a simple and balanced preparation, designed to enhance the natural taste of the onion without overpowering its flavor.

During processing, the onions are cooked for controlled times to achieve a soft yet firm consistency. The balance between sweet and acidic notes makes them ideal for various culinary pairings.

The result is sweet and sour Borettana onions with a harmonious and well-balanced taste, capable of accompanying many traditional dishes.
